✨ Arno — A Traveler Without Borders
Born and raised in Belgium, I once spent my days working as an internal sales coordinator, nestled in the rhythm of the 9-to-5 life. One gray and rainy afternoon—so typically Belgian, with skies blanketed in gloom—I found myself alone, flipping through channels when a National Geographic documentary lit up the screen. It showcased the Caribbean: shimmering white sands, turquoise waters gently lapping at the shores, and palm trees dancing beneath endless sunshine.
Something shifted in me.
“There are people who live like this,” I thought. “And I am here… I want to go there.”
Six months later, I packed my bags, stepped into the unknown, and I’ve never looked back.
🌴 Grenada: First Taste of Paradise
My adventure began in Grenada—a Caribbean gem of pure magic. Life slowed down. I learned to live in sync with nature’s rhythms, embraced the island’s warmth, and found something I hadn’t felt in years: freedom.
🌍 Europe: Wandering Through Culture & Charm
After Grenada, Europe called me back—but with new eyes. I lived again in Belgium, wandered through London, where every street corner tells a story and the buzz of city life never quite sleeps. I soaked in the artistic pulse and seaside vibes of Gothenburg, Sweden, where simplicity meets thoughtful design. In France, I found peace in Auvergne, a land of rolling hills, volcanoes, and slow rural beauty. And Prague, oh Prague—its gothic charm and magical alleys felt like walking through a fairytale.
🀄 Taiwan: Learning, Living, Loving
Then came Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a city where lanterns glow softly and temples hum with tradition. I studied Mandarin Chinese for two years here, and every day brought balance—between old Confucian grace and young, vibrant momentum. Taiwan wasn’t just a place I lived; it became a part of me.
Beijing: A City Before the Flame
In the year leading up to the Olympics, Beijing felt like the world was holding its breath. The city was transforming—fast-paced, full of energy, and yet deeply rooted in its imperial past. I walked through ancient hutongs and gleaming skyscrapers, watching East meet West in real time.
🌾 Thailand: From Quiet Rice Fields to Electric City Nights
Surin, in Isan, Thailand’s northeast, revealed the heart of the country. I spent over a year immersed in rural Thai life—where kindness is unspoken, rice fields stretch far beyond the horizon, and traditions flow through generations. This was the real Thailand. Later, I moved to Bangkok, a city of contradictions: golden temples and rooftop parties, spiritual reverence and urban chaos. Bangkok pulses with life—it’s impossible not to be swept up in its energy.
🌏 Cambodia: At the Edge of Southeast Asia
Now, I live in Phnom Penh, Cambodia—a place where the “Far West of Southeast Asia” meets colonial echoes and entrepreneurial ambition. The sunsets are bold, the streets hum with resilience, and the future feels wide open.
✈️ Wanderlust in My Veins
Throughout my journey, I’ve explored over 30 countries: France, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Taiwan, China, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia… and most recently, Madagascar, which has truly captured my heart. Its wild nature, untouched beauty, and warm spirit have made it feel like home.
🌍 Why I Travel
I don’t travel to escape—I travel to connect. To meet strangers and hear their stories, to taste dishes I can’t pronounce but will never forget, to learn languages that open doors to friendships. Every destination is a chapter. Every meal, every bus ride, every sunset is a memory etched into my story.
I believe in lifelong adventure. In showing up with open eyes and an open heart. In never settling for anything less than wonder. And through this website, I hope to share my journey and inspire yours—whether it’s across oceans or simply into a new way of seeing the world.
